Lee Westwood

Described by the Musician’s Union as ‘one of the UK’s most exciting and versatile musicians’, Lee Westwood is a guitarist and composer whose highly diverse musical language encompasses a wide field of cultures and traditions including Modern Jazz, Folk from across Europe and the Americas, and a broad spectrum of Classical Music, both old and new.
Lee has been one of Sound and Music’s ‘New Voices’ composers for two years running. His works have been performed by Timothy Orpen & The Riot Ensemble, members of Notes Inégales, Adam Swayne & Susie Winkworth, University of Sussex Symphony Orchestra, Hidden Order Ensemble, Lee Westwood Ensemble, Southern Winds Ensemble and Gerard Mapstone. Lee’s recent exhibition A Hidden Order has toured some of the leading international spotlights for contemporary art, including the Saatchi Gallery, Athr Gallery, Kashya Hildebrand Gallery, KIAF, Abu Dhabi Art, Contemporary Istanbul Art Fair, Scope Miami Art Fair, Seyhoun Gallery and Art Basel.
As a guitarist, Lee has shared the stage with many guitar and folk legends, and has toured his music extensively throughout the UK, Europe, the USA and Canada. He played for five years with Dizraeli & The Small Gods, and currently performs with experimental trio Le Juki.
