Keyword Karaoke. Musarc + Fabio Lattanzi Antinori. 27 Nov 2024, 6.45–8pm

As part of Office Party, Fabio Lattanzi Antinori’s exhibition at 12 Hammersmith Grove, HS Projects presented a performance by Musarc featuring Gavin Bryars’s seminal tape improvisation score 1, 2, 1234 (1973) using the AI-generated pop songs for Keyword Karaoke as the source material. Following the performance, Fabio joined Nick Couldry, co-author with Ulises A. Mejias of Data Grab: The New Colonialism of Big Tech and How to Fight Back, and Musarc’s Artistic Director, Joseph Kohlmaier, for a conversation on the datafication of our lives and how emerging modes of extraction are reshaping language, creativity, and the notion of ownership.
